Kissimmee, Fla. — The Sunrail train tour has pulled into the Tupperware Station on Orange Avenue. Its all part of the new service, which is scheduled to open later this summer and adds four additional stations and extends the line into Osceola County. These four stations are Meadow Woods in Orange County, as well as Tupperware, downtown Kissimmee and Poinciana in Osceola County, with Poinciana Station as the southern terminus.
The tours provide prospective riders with a taste of what to expect from the 17 mile expansion and connectivity. According to a media release, this new addition turns what what used to be a roughly 1 hour and 30 minute commute from Altamonte Springs to the Sand Lake Road Station into a 40 minute train ride, and reduces the monthly cost.
In addition to today's tour, there are also other upcoming train tour dates:
Meadow Woods: 120 Fairway Woods Blvd, Orlando. Saturday, June 23 10am-2pm
Kissimmee: 320 Pleasant Street, Kissimmee. Saturday, June 30 5pm-9pm
Sunrail currently runs 32 mile daily service, Monday through Friday, with stops at all 12 stations from the DeBary Station in Volusia County to the Sand Lake Road Station south of Orlando.
