Orange County Sheriff’s Office looking for volunteers to help grant boy’s Make-A-Wish

Orlando, Fla. — Making a Make-A-Wish come true for an Orange County 10-year-old is going to need some volunteers.

Sheriff John Mina is asking the community to play the part of a cheering crowd.

"We need you here first thing on February 27th," says Orange County Sheriff John Mina in a video. "Our deputies need you, Orange County needs you and I need you."

URGENT CALL: ROBOGaige, the residents of Orange County NEED YOU! On Feb. 27, Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida, OCSO and several other local agencies will grant a 10-year-old boy's wish to be a Robot Super Hero!

Sheriff Mina says “ROBOGaige” is going to perform heroic deeds throughout the day to fulfill his wish of being a Robot Super Hero for a day.

A crowd of cheering supporters is needed in two Orlando locations.

Volunteers are being asked to arrive at 8:00 a.m. for staging at the Orlando Credit Union - Millenia on 4500 S John Young Pkwy.

The second location will stage volunteers at 11:00 a.m. at Valencia College Fire Rescue Institute on 2966 W. Oakridge Road.
